Search “leak detection Dubai” and you get water. Villas, slabs, risers, swimming pools — a developed, competent market. If your leak is compressed air in a plant, that is the wrong list, and the wrong instrument will be brought to your site. Three different trades share one search term, and the difference is physics, not marketing.

A company that is excellent at finding a slab leak in a villa is not the company to survey a factory ring main, and the reverse is equally true. Match the medium first, the brand second.

What the table shows. Five of the nine work in water, three in compressed air, one in refrigerant. Acoustic or ultrasonic methods appear in eight of nine; thermography in six. And pricing is almost entirely private: one indicative figure in the water segment, and in industrial compressed air no published rate at all — the answer everywhere is a site-specific quote.
Atlas Copco publishes the arithmetic for leaks at 7 bar(g). It is worth reading carefully, because one column of it is frequently quoted without the other (source):

Two things follow. First, the same 1.5 mm hole is AED 1,981 or AED 849 depending only on how many hours a week the plant runs — quote one number without the duty cycle and you are quoting a mood. Second, the kilowatts are the part that does not move. The dirham columns rest on an assumed electricity tariff; yours is on your bill, not on ours or theirs. Ask any provider for the loss in kW or litres per second and multiply it yourself. That is also how we report it.

It depends entirely on the medium. For water in a home, villa or building, Dubai has a developed market — LeakDtech, Verteco, D Plus Technical Services, WaterLeak.ae and Miracle Leak Detection all publish water leak detection services on their own sites. For compressed air in an industrial plant the field is much narrower: General Tech Services, Gulf Test Safety Consultancies, Atlas Copco Services Middle East and WOLKER. Refrigerant leaks are usually handled by HVAC contractors such as HVAC Pro. A company that is excellent at finding a slab leak in a villa is not the company to survey a factory ring main.

In the industrial compressed-air segment none of the other providers publish a rate — the standard answer is a site-specific quote. WOLKER publishes a fixed AED 9,500 for a compressed-air leak audit, with no per-leak charges, covering a single facility within Dubai and excluding 5% VAT.

In their own figures that is AED 1,981 a year at 168 hours a week of non-stop operation, but AED 849 a year at 72 hours a week — the same hole, and the duty cycle more than doubles the answer. The kilowatts are the part that does not move; any dirham figure also depends on your own electricity tariff, so ask for the loss in kW and multiply it by your bill.
They detect different things. Ultrasonic and acoustic methods hear the turbulence of gas escaping through a small opening, which is why they dominate compressed-air work. Thermal imaging sees a temperature difference on a surface, which is why it suits water behind a wall or under a slab, and why it needs the leak to have changed a surface temperature before it can find anything. Tracer gas is introduced into an isolated line and sniffed at the surface, used when the first two fail. Most providers in Dubai combine at least two.

Each finding located on a plan of your site, the method used to find it, the size or flow class of the leak, and the loss expressed in kilowatts or litres per second rather than only in dirhams so you can apply your own tariff. It should also state the limits of the survey — which areas were noisy, inaccessible or shut down at the time — because a survey that names no limits cannot be checked.
